LinkSheet offers extensive customization options to tailor the look and feel of the bottom sheet and how you interact with it.

Visual Customization

Theme & Layout

• Theme Mode:
  • Light / Dark: Force a specific theme.
  • System: Follows your system's light/dark mode setting.
• Material You: On Android 12+ you can let LinkSheet adapt to your system wallpaper colors.
• Pure Black (Amoled): Uses a pitch-black background for OLED screens to save battery. Available in Dark or System theme.
• Grid Layout: Switch between a compact list view and a grid view for your apps.
• Package Names: Option to always show the full package name (e.g., com.android.chrome) under the app name for precise identification. This lives under the General settings.

Bottom Sheet Content

• URL Preview 🌐 [Impact: Medium]:
  • Shows a preview of the processed URL.
  • OpenGraph Preview 🌐: If enabled, LinkSheet fetches the website's metadata (title, image, description). This requires a network request and will delay the bottom sheet until the metadata is retrieved or times out.
• App Info on Long Press: View detailed information about an app directly from the selection sheet.
• Clipboard Card: Optionally displays the current clipboard content on the main screen if it detects a URL. This lives under the General settings.
• Hide Choice Buttons: You can hide the "Just Once" and "Always" buttons to save space.
• Hide Referring App: Prevents the app that opened the link from appearing in the list, even if it can handle the link itself.
• Expand Fully: Automatically expand the bottom sheet to its full height when opened.
• Don't show filtered item: When using in-app browser handling, hide the entry for the referring app instead of showing it as disabled.
• Profile Switcher: Show a control in the bottom sheet to send a link to a different Android user or work profile.
• Private Browsing Button: Add a button that asks a supported browser to open the link in Incognito/Private mode.

Interaction

Tap Customization

You can define specific actions for different gesture types on an app entry. Each gesture can be configured independently:

• Gestures: Single Tap (default: Select app), Double Tap (default: Open app), Long Press (default: Open app settings page).
• Actions:
  • Never: Disable the gesture.
  • Open App: Simply open the link in the selected app.
  • Select App: Highlight the app in the list, requiring a confirmation tap to open it.
  • Open App Settings Page: Quickly navigate to the system settings page for that app.
  • Always Open App: Set the app as the preferred handler for this host and open it.

Automation

• Expand on App Select: Automatically expand the sheet when you tap an app, revealing more options or confirmation buttons.

URL Bar Settings

Additional behavior for the URL shown at the top of the sheet:

• Preview URL: Show the processed URL preview at the top of the sheet.
• Hide after Copying: Automatically close the bottom sheet after you copy a link to the clipboard.
• Ignore LibRedirect button: Adds a button that re-opens the original (un-redirected) link.
• Double Tap URL: Require a double tap on the URL to copy it, preventing accidental copies.

Notifications (Toasts)

Customize which actions trigger a system "toast" message:

• URL Copied: When you copy a link.
• Download Started: When the built-in downloader starts.
• Opening with App: When LinkSheet automatically forwards a link to a preferred app.
• Resolve Status: Notifications for success or failure when resolving redirects via external services.
